Hey guys, so I mentioned at the start of this that I would be posting something every day, but as you can tell I've been slacking :s That being said I am here now, so how about an update!...

SO, we have had some harder days, struggling lots and I can tell its really wearing on Josh. He is still doing fantastic but the struggle is there for him and its showing a lot in his general demeanor. He's a trooper though and we will get through it, he is still as dedicated as ever!

I am still struggling with the same things and the sweets missing from this whole process are staring to get a bit worse too. Last night we went to my parents for a visit and were invited fr dinner. They have been very supportive through the process so when dinner time came my step mother tried to make something appropriate for us but did not realize the sauce used was not one we could have so we just ate the spaghetti squash by itself and also had some salad on the side. they were also having meat pie and the thought of grabbing a piece was very prominent in my head...even when we left I was still wanting a piece...
 BUT
when we got home, I had to finish the recipe I had going which was the meatloaf cupcakes with sweet potato topping ( which needs to be perfected still before I post) the sweet potato mashed potatoes turned out SO amazing!!! I was so happy to make this discovery and was able to make enough for the baby to have through the week. Her little face lit up when I let her taste them, which is always a good sign.

I have been really proud of myself for not cheating through this process, but will admit to not following the rules slightly as I did weigh myself yesterday and I am supposed to wait until the end. I have promised myself to not do it again until the date posted....The bad news, I broke a rule, the good new I have lost 5lbs.  Considering I have been stuck at the 230lbs number for the last 9 months, that 5lbs lost will be what fuels me through the next few weeks without looking at the scale, I now have the knowledge that wha I am doing is working and that sticks in my mind to help me keep going.

Tomorrow I will be heading out to meet with some ladies and some babies...I will be putting this will power to use with all the temptations at the mall so I will have to pack some snacks and really keep myself in check.

All in all my energy is going up and doing this 30 day shred is also helping (even if I am still on level 1) I feel like I am still in a good place and figuring it all out 1 day at a time. I have also been checking out some other blogs and really hope you guys won't mind me taking a page from your blogs...I really like the inspiration pages so I think I am going to add one on myself.

You are all doing wonderful and are on track to being the best YOU, you can be so keep it up!!

So I am still here. Not starving or going out of my mind yet, just enjoying my weekend (with no cheating I may add) My third video will be up tomorrow, but until then I leave you with this picture of the wonderful dinner Josh made tonight with an amazingly perfected dressing on the salad which I will post the recipe for because honestly, none have quite done it for us until this one! I highly recommend it and its so simple too :) ...This is a simple Kale,Spinach and Romaine salad with baby tomatoes, mushrooms and green onions (next time we will be adding cucumber).
Dressing: 1 avocado, 1 capful extra light tasting olive oil, 1/2 lime peeled, 1/2 jalapeño pepper minced, handful of fresh dill. Mix with food processor or hand processor and taste. Add water to dilute to a pourable dressing make 1 1/4 cups add pinch of salt. Mix again, taste again and add more dill, lime or salt to taste. :)

Hey guys, I am not going to go to in depth with any sort of description because honestly there is no need with the length of my video. I am so,so sorry for the length :( I really have to work things out to keep them shorter...I will get better at all of this...minimal amount of time and maximum amount of info to cram in there plus me jabbering away makes for frustrating views and I don`t want that so again I am sorry and I hope this video covers enough ground. Next video will be up Monday.
P.s -Sorry it was put up so late! I know I said Thursday it would be up but lets just say its been a long day!

Hi guys,                                                                                                                                                        #3
I am just posting this short note to tell you about a wonderful friend of mine who has decided to start a journey of her own. I have known her since grade 6 and she has always been such a kind and caring person. We have unfortunately drifted apart through the years as distance and life has come about, but upon sharing my venture through my journey we have come together to share the journey we are both starting.

I would like you all you check out her story and journey and follow along with her as well. The beautiful thing about all of this is no matter the personal story or the journey or even the way you choose to tackle it, you can do it with support and friends and family and strength. You can all follow her blog here  www.shrinkingkat.weebly.com and check out her progress. I know she is going to be a force to be reckon with! I am so excited to share this journey with you girl!

Here's to US!!

Well...Here it is! Just a quick post to share as my first step. Looking forward to seeing what this number looks like in 30 days, Friday February 21st will be the day...Its going to be really hard not to keep checking but I will do my best!.

Josh has been AMAZING!! prepping food so we are actually eating, I am feeling a little overwhelmed right now just trying to get fully organized, but we got a few more ingredients to work with today so I am going to attempt to create a meal and keep my fingers crossed I do it justice.

I have posted the smoothie of the day, and named yesterdays "The Iguana" no name for the one posted today so any suggestions are welcome :)

Tomorrow will be a big day for the blog as I will be posting my second video and before pics and of course another smoothie of the day. We got some coconut milk today so I am thinking of adding that in...I will also be posting a couple recipes tomorrow and depending on how tonight's meal turns out I may post that as well.

All in all I am feeling challenged and really, really wanting sweet stuff other than fruit...Josh is craving bread more than he expected he would and we both have headaches. As much as all those things suck, it tells us that this process is working sooo GO US!...Stay tuned and thanks for the continued support

Hi everyone,                                                                                                                                                  #1

So here it is as promised, I will admit to you all that this is all very new to me and I can't promise the first few posts will be super fantastic in the technical sense, but I promise it will all get better as time goes on.

That being said, once I do get this figured out I will have everything organized so you all will be able to follow along much better. I will be including links to my 2 videos a week and also linking under my videos to direct you all here in case you get there first.

I will post my thoughts, my progress, my routine and my meal tracking. I will have categories to follow along as well...Successful recipes we have tried, before pics and weigh in's, Daily exercise routines and family friendly activities as well as some other cool ideas, like maybe a smoothie of the day feature and some weekly challenges inspired by your suggestions :)

I mentioned in my first video that there are pros and cons to staying home and and getting in a funk or "sitting on it" as I mentioned. I feel like if I am here and I have made our meals ahead and done my daily regime then putting my down time energy  into these video's and Blogs serves a purpose and it feeds my motivation for further success.

In my next video, I will go through the process of the whole30 program so it makes a little more sense. I realized after seeing my first video that I was kind of all over the place and really did not do my explanation justice .

Lastly, I want to Thank all of you following along, sending words of encouragement and support. It means so much to have the well wishes and positive comments coming from all over...I am so excited ( and a little scared) to get started. I have to send a shout out to the ladies I am working along side with because though this Blog tracks my journey, there are a few ladies and gentleman going through their own right now and I am so happy we are able to motivate each other through this process...everyone's journey is different and the support of a friend and the ability to truly relate to one another and combine the will power it takes to reach our goals really makes the personal journey that much more successful!. To new beginnings!
